The Apex Employment Solicitors Retainer Agreement is designed to provide you with a bespoke personal employment law service. We are solution focussed and this inclusive employment law service aims to provide you with the Employment Law advice and assistance you need in the day to day management of your business.
You will be supported by qualified Solicitors who specialise in Employment Law. We take the time to understand the nature of your business and your workforce and provide you with jargon-free Employment Law advice that you can implement yourself with our guidance. Our telephone advice is confirmed by email and we will provide you with draft letters and documents appropriate for your needs.
We recognise that different clients require different types of support. Whether you need basic guidance on appropriate employment policies and procedures, or you are more concerned about strategic HR planning, our legal team will help and support you to ensure that you meet the employment law challenges facing your organisation.
The Retainer Agreement is provided at a flat monthly cost fixed in advance. The contract period is for a minimum of 12 months with a service level review at 6 months.

What is Included
The Retainer Agreement covers advice and assistance on all matters which are capable of being considered by an Employment Tribunal. We have experience in advising on a full range of employment issues including misconduct matters, sickness absence, discrimination, whistle-blowing, unfair, constructive & wrongful dismissal, redundancies, ACAS Early Conciliation and employment tribunal representation.
As well as unlimited Employment Law advice, we also provide contracts of employment, policies and procedures and documentation drafting and vetting. We undertake a free legal audit of your handbooks and contracts each year as part of the Retainer Agreement.
The advice is generally given by telephone and email with the option of face to face meetings when required. We will confirm our advice in writing and ghost-write letters for you to send. The Agreement includes the preparation of simple Settlement Agreements. There is no limit to the number of enquiries you make within each month.
What is Excluded
- Any remedial work – prior to the Retainer Agreement starting we will undertake a free review of your employment contracts and staff handbook and advise what, if any, remedial work needs to be undertaken to comply with current Employment Law and the cost of undertaking that work for you.
- Counsel’s opinion in complex cases & Counsel fees for representation at an Employment Tribunal.
- Matters which are not capable of being considered by an Employment Tribunal.
- Disbursements in the preparation of an Employment Tribunal Hearing e.g. photocopying charges, courier costs & travelling fees for Employment Tribunal attendance.
